The emotional buildup, tension, and connection between them made every interaction meaningful
— Abigail Books Addiction

As a reader of this dark romance series, this book was everything and more. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. The slow-burn romance was done perfectly, giving the characters time to develop in a way that felt natural and deeply satisfying.

The friends-to-lovers trope was truly top tier here. The emotional buildup, tension, and connection between them made every interaction meaningful. If you’re expecting spice early on, this is not that kind of book—there are very few spicy scenes until the end, but the payoff is worth the wait.

The text messages and letters added so much depth to the romance and honestly elevated the entire reading experience. For romance readers, those moments will hit hard.

The side characters also deserve their own praise—they were just as compelling and well-written, adding richness to the story that makes me want more from them too. Overall, I’m left wanting more from this world and these characters in the best way.
