This cozy fantasy had all the ingredients to become a truly memorable read, even if it didn’t fully come together for me in the end. The premise immediately caught my attention, especially the intriguing dynamic between the fae and the human world. There’s a richness to the worldbuilding that hints at something deeper and more layered, and I found myself wanting to learn more about how these two realms intertwine.

One of the highlights for me was the house itself. It’s filled with quiet mysteries that slowly unfold, creating an atmosphere that feels both comforting and slightly eerie. That sense of discovery kept me engaged, even during slower moments.

That said, the pacing made it a bit difficult to fully sink into the story at first. It takes a while to find its rhythm, and I found myself wishing for a stronger pull in the earlier chapters. Once things begin to unfold, the story becomes more engaging, but the slow start does impact the overall experience.

In the end, this was a book I appreciated more than I loved. I didn’t dislike it—there’s a lot here to enjoy, especially for readers who value atmosphere and subtle worldbuilding—but it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. Still, it shows plenty of potential, and I’d be curious to see more from this author in the future.
