The tension and slow-burning longing between Luca and Maddox is top tier
— Abigail Books Addiction

I was so excited going into Luca’s story, and it absolutely delivered. Ever since those small glimpses of him in book one, I knew there was something special about him—and getting a full book centered on him? Loved every second of it.

Luca is genuinely such a sweetheart. There’s a softness to him that makes you want the entire world for him, especially knowing the darker edges of the story he’s pulled into. Watching him navigate everything had me completely invested emotionally.

And the trope? Elite. The professor dynamic mixed with the age gap just works here. The tension and slow-burning longing between Luca and Maddox is top tier—like, the kind that lingers in every interaction and makes even the smallest moments feel intense. It’s messy, complicated, and exactly what you want from a dark romance.

That said, definitely take the trigger warnings seriously before diving in. This story doesn’t shy away from heavy themes, and it can get intense.

Overall, this book gave me everything I wanted for Luca—angst, chemistry, and a romance that feels both tender and consuming.
