“She deserves someone who chooses her without games.”
I literally picked this up the second I finished book one — that cliffhanger was illegal. I needed to know what happened next, and I love that this sequel doesn’t waste a single second. It drops you right back into the chaos exactly where we left off, like you never even had time to breathe.
And wow. So much is happening. The stakes are higher, the danger feels closer, the twists don’t stop — and yet I couldn’t slow down. Every chapter ends in a way that makes it impossible to put the book down. It’s nonstop action, but it never feels overwhelming. Just addictive.
Okay, I hate to say it… but I definitely prefer this love interest. I know everyone loves a morally gray boy, but after the lies and betrayal in the first book? I was over it. This time around, we get someone who genuinely loves and supports our main girl. No manipulation. No secrets that destroy her trust. Just steady, loyal, protective energy — and I am HERE for it. She deserves someone who chooses her without games.
And can we talk about the action?? The fight scenes, the tension, the pacing — it’s so freaking good. Every confrontation feels cinematic. I could see it playing out like a movie in my head.
This sequel somehow manages to expand the world, deepen the relationships, and crank up the intensity without losing what made the first book so good. If you were wrecked by the cliffhanger in book one, do yourself a favor and read this immediately. You will not regret it.
