this sequel kept me hooked from start to finish
— Abigail Books Addiction

Picking up right after the cliffhanger from book one, this sequel throws you straight back into the chaos—and I mean that in the best way. So much is happening that I genuinely don’t even know where to start. The stakes are higher, the emotions more intense, and the drama? Deliciously messy.

I loved the tension between the main character and their tangled web of love interests. The push and pull, the unresolved feelings, the betrayal—it’s everything you want in a fantasy romance that doesn't shy away from emotional chaos. And just when you think it can’t get any more complicated, new characters arrive… and yes, some of them are potential love interests too 👀. The mess is never-ending, and I am here for it.

The world-building continues to be a standout. It expands beautifully, layering more depth and danger into every corner of this universe. You never quite know what’s coming next—and that’s part of the thrill. Twists, secrets, betrayals… it’s an emotional rollercoaster that refuses to slow down.

That said, the constant unraveling of secrets did get a bit exhausting. It felt like every time I found my footing, another bombshell dropped, and not always in a way that added value to the story. Sometimes less really is more.

Still, this sequel kept me hooked from start to finish. If you’re into fantasy romances with rich worlds, complicated relationships, and non-stop drama, this series continues to deliver.
