I went into this expecting a steamy romance with a bit of thriller edge, and while it almost delivered on that promise, the paranormal elements really threw me off. It wasn’t that they were badly written—they just felt out of place for the kind of story I thought I was getting. The shift into supernatural territory pulled me out of the experience more than it added to it.

That said, the book definitely knows how to bring the heat. The spicy scenes were well done, intense, and honestly the highlight for me. There’s also plenty of messy drama—secrets, tension, emotional chaos—that keeps things entertaining even when the plot veers in unexpected directions.

Overall, it’s a fun, fast read if you’re in the mood for something dramatic and steamy. Just be prepared for the paranormal twist, because if you’re not expecting it, it might catch you off guard like it did for me.
