I have really mixed feelings about this book. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it as much as I expected to. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed reading it and found myself invested in the story, but one thing kept holding me back: the female main character.

She frustrated me so much throughout the book. I lost count of how many times the male lead told her that he genuinely liked her, only for her to keep insisting that he just wanted what he couldn't have. After a while, it started to feel repetitive and didn't make much sense to me.

That being said, the male main character completely stole the show. I absolutely loved watching him step up after discovering he had a child. He took responsibility, showed up when it mattered, and did everything he could to be the best father possible. His dedication and growth were easily my favorite part of the book, and I found myself rooting for him the entire time.

While the romance didn't work for me as well as I had hoped because of my issues with the heroine, I still had a good time with this hockey romance. The male lead was truly the highlight, and seeing him embrace fatherhood made the book worth reading for me.
