“Watching their story unfold across different points in their lives made every heartfelt moment hit even harder”
Going into this book, I had never read anything by this author, so I honestly didn't know what to expect. While it didn't immediately hook me from the very first chapter, the more I read, the more invested I became. Before I knew it, I was completely captivated and could already tell this love story would leave me emotionally wrecked.
I really enjoyed the dual timelines and how seamlessly they intertwined, slowly revealing the full picture of their relationship. Watching their story unfold across different points in their lives made every heartfelt moment hit even harder.
The ending wasn't quite what I expected, but it felt incredibly realistic. Knowing the realities of marrying an astronaut—a career that places enormous strain on relationships and leads many marriages to end in divorce—made their journey feel more authentic. Their love story was beautiful, heartbreaking, and full of impossible choices, which made the ending all the more emotional.
Overall, this was a touching romance that surprised me in the best way. It may have taken a little while to fully pull me in, but once it did, I couldn't put it down. If you're looking for an emotional, bittersweet, and reality-grounded love story, this one is definitely worth picking up.
