The drama? Endless. Messy. Unhinged. And I ate it up.
— Abigail Books Addiction

I’ve been waiting for this sequel for so long, and honestly… I have very conflicted feelings about it.

On one hand, I really, really enjoyed it. On the other, there were multiple moments where I had to pause and think, what the heck is going on right now? But somehow, that messiness is also part of the charm.

The drama? Endless. Messy. Unhinged. And I ate it up. The emotional chaos between the characters kept me glued to the pages, even when it felt like everyone desperately needed to sit down, communicate, and maybe attend therapy. That said, I did not love the constant back-and-forth with the love choices. At a certain point, it started to feel exhausting rather than angsty in a fun way.

The world-building continues to expand, and I really appreciated how the story kept layering new elements instead of stagnating. The found family aspect was a standout for me—it added warmth and emotional grounding amid all the turmoil.

However, I needed more groveling. Some of the love interests behaved terribly, and the narrative did not fully hold them accountable. Like… fix yourselves. Apologies were either rushed or nonexistent, and it left me wanting more emotional payoff.

Overall, this book is messy, dramatic, frustrating, and addictive. Even when the drama felt endless, I still loved being in it. It’s not a perfect sequel, but it’s one I couldn’t stop thinking about—and honestly, that says a lot.
