“The main character truly stood out to me.”
At first, I honestly thought this book wasn’t for me. The beginning didn’t hook me the way I expected, and I almost put it down. But the more I read, the more I found myself completely drawn in—until I reached a point where I didn’t want it to end. I absolutely loved this book.
The endless banter and tension between the characters were some of my favorite parts. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic felt incredibly believable, slowly built through sharp dialogue, shared conflict, and emotional depth rather than being rushed. Every interaction added another layer, making their connection feel earned.
The main character truly stood out to me. Her determination, strength, and loyalty to her family never wavered. She never gave up on herself, and she remained honest with who she was no matter the cost. That unwavering humanity is exactly what shocked—and ultimately changed—the love interest, who had long since given up on humanity altogether. Watching that transformation unfold was powerful and deeply satisfying.
By the end, I was fully invested and already craving more. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these characters in the rest of the series. This book is absolutely a must-read for fans of fantasy, slow-burn romance, and unforgettable character dynamics.
