And that ending? I’m in absolute shambles
— Abigail Books Addiction

I was honestly so nervous starting this book after seeing everyone’s reactions — I was more than ready to be emotionally destroyed. And wow, Chloe Gong truly delivered. She’s an absolute mastermind when it comes to writing emotional, intricate fantasy stories that tear your heart apart in the best way possible.

The book does start off a bit slow, so keep that in mind. There are two points of view, and it’s super important to pay attention to the details — it might feel confusing at first, but trust me, everything clicks beautifully by the end. The suspense had me on edge the entire time, and the twists and turns were just unreal.

What blows me away is how Chloe Gong can weave everything together so seamlessly while still keeping an air of mystery. She truly knows how to make readers feel every moment.

And that ending? I’m in absolute shambles. I need the next book immediately.
