this is one of those stories that every reader should experience at least once.

I absolutely loved this book—truly the kind of story you devour in a single sitting because you just can’t put it down. It perfectly captures the feeling of a Korean historical K-drama, full of atmosphere, tension, and emotional depth, while also weaving in subtle Jane Austen-like themes of wit, restraint, and social expectations.

The slow-burn romance between Haewon and Seojun is everything I could ask for. Their relationship builds so naturally, with just the right amount of longing and hesitation, and their banter is genuinely one of the highlights of the book. Every argument feels layered with tension and unspoken feelings, making their connection all the more compelling.

I also really appreciated the book-lover elements woven into the story, especially the themes surrounding book banning and the power of literature. It adds a meaningful depth that resonates strongly, particularly for readers who understand how impactful stories can be.

This book strikes such a perfect balance between romance, historical setting, and thoughtful themes. It’s immersive, emotional, and incredibly satisfying. Honestly, I think this is one of those stories that every reader should experience at least once.
