“I was not prepared for it!”
Perfect read for all my dark academia readers! This book has all the dark academia vibes, plus gothic elements that make it even better. Be warned, though, that the pacing is a bit slow in the beginning, but trust me, it does pick up!
The plot definitely thickens once the secrets start coming out, and the drama between former childhood friends turned frenemies gets messier and messier, and I LIVE for it. The tension between these characters is so good that you'll constantly find yourself screaming at them to either get together or just fight already! Like, please, do something with all that tension!
And that ending? SHOCKING. I was not prepared for it! Definitely a read for anyone who loves dark academia, gothic vibes, messy relationships, and secrets that keep you guessing.
