This high-stakes fantasy had me hooked from the very first chapter. The opening was so engaging and intriguing that I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. I also loved how the story was told through multiple points of view. At first, it seemed like everyone was on completely different paths, but watching their stories slowly intertwine made every perspective feel important.
The middle of the book lost me a little as the pacing slowed down, but thankfully it picked back up enough to pull me back in. Even with the slower sections, there is so much potential in this world and these characters that I'm excited to see where the series goes next.
And those secrets? Absolutely wild. Every new reveal raised even more questions, making me desperate to uncover the truth. I can't wait to see how everything connects because it feels like we're only scratching the surface.
