I went into this book expecting a fun, spicy romance, and while it definitely delivered on the romance and chemistry, it ended up being much heavier than I anticipated. Be sure to check the content warnings beforehand, as the story dives into several difficult and emotional topics.

What kept me invested was all the messiness and drama. The family dynamics were complicated, emotional, and often frustrating in the best way, adding a lot of depth to the story beyond the romance. Watching the characters navigate their personal struggles and family issues made their journey feel more impactful.

Of course, the spicy scenes did not disappoint. The chemistry between the main characters was strong, and their moments together provided a nice balance to the heavier themes throughout the book.

Overall, this was a more emotional and intense read than I expected, but I enjoyed the drama, character growth, and romance. If you're looking for a spicy romance that also tackles deeper issues, this one is worth picking up.
