“The rivals-to-lovers dynamic was easily one of my favorite parts.”
If you're looking for a high-stakes fantasy packed with danger, magic, and nonstop secrets, this book absolutely delivers. From the very beginning, I was hooked by the deadly competition between rival teams and couldn't wait to see who would come out on top. Every race felt intense, and the constant twists kept me turning the pages.
The rivals-to-lovers dynamic was easily one of my favorite parts. The banter between them was top-tier—full of wit, tension, and chemistry that made every interaction so much fun to read. Watching former rivals reunite after so much time apart while carrying years of unresolved trauma and hidden feelings made their relationship even more compelling.
The world itself was fascinating, especially with all the magical beings woven throughout the story. I completely fell in love with the magical animals—they added so much charm and wonder to an already captivating fantasy world. Between the deadly curses, emotional backstories, and endless secrets unraveling, there was always something new to discover.
This book balances action, mystery, and romance so well. Every revelation left me with even more questions, and I loved slowly piecing everything together alongside the characters. If you enjoy high-stakes fantasy with incredible banter, magical creatures, rivals-to-lovers tension, and plenty of shocking twists, this is definitely one worth picking up.
