Both characters carry their pain in very different ways, and watching them navigate that—individually and together—felt incredibly real and tender.

I’ll read anything Ashley Poston writes at this point—she just has a gift for crafting emotional romances that completely wreck me and then somehow piece me back together again. The Someday Garden is no exception. It’s another deeply moving story that lingers long after the final page.

What I loved most about this book is how thoughtfully Poston explores grief. Both characters carry their pain in very different ways, and watching them navigate that—individually and together—felt incredibly real and tender. It’s not just a love story; it’s a story about healing, about learning how to keep going, and about finding connection even when you feel broken.

And the romance? Absolutely worth the wait. The slow burn between Sophie and her love interest is everything. It’s not rushed, which makes every moment feel earned. Their relationship grows from friendship into something deeper, and that gradual build creates such strong chemistry and emotional payoff. You really feel them falling for each other.

Ashley Poston has done it again—delivering a story that is heartbreaking, hopeful, and full of love in all its messy, beautiful forms.
