“Hunter meeting his match (and mate!) Tess Covington is everything I hoped for and more”
You already know I dove into this book the moment I got early access—I can never resist a new Lana Ferguson release! She’s an auto-read author for me, and once again, she’s delivered exactly what I love: a spicy, tension-filled romance that I couldn’t put down.
This time, we’re back in the omegaverse, and the spotlight is on Hunter Barrett, a character we briefly met in The Fake Mate. And let me tell you, Hunter meeting his match (and mate!) Tess Covington is everything I hoped for and more. Their chemistry is electric from the start—even if they try (and fail) to avoid each other. You can’t fight fate, and watching these two try was so much fun.
What I loved most was that their relationship wasn’t all smooth sailing. The banter, the tension, the “we are not doing this... oh wait, we are” moments? Perfection. Tess and Hunter clash in the best ways, and their dynamic had me grinning, swooning, and fanning myself more than once. Every interaction crackled with intensity—emotional and otherwise—and I was absolutely hooked watching them stumble their way into something real.
Lana Ferguson just gets it. Her books are spicy, fun, full of heart, and impossible to put down. I devour everything she writes, and this one is no exception. If you loved The Fake Mate or just want a hot, opposite attracts, fated-mates romance with all the feels, you need to read this book.
