“Marie Lu threw in another twist”
Marie Lu truly cannot do any wrong. She has a way of writing fantasy that grabs you from the very first page and refuses to let go, and Mortal Things was no exception. I was completely hooked from beginning to end.
So much happens throughout the story that I constantly found myself asking questions and trying to piece everything together. The action never lets up, and the mix of intense battles, shocking secrets, and heartbreaking betrayals kept me turning the pages. Just when I thought I knew where the story was headed, Marie Lu threw in another twist.
And that ending? Absolutely insane. It left me with my jaw on the floor and desperate for the next book. If you love fast-paced YA fantasy filled with action, mystery, and twists that keep you guessing, this is definitely one to pick up.
