“In short: the sequel was worth every second of the wait. I’m obsessed.”
I’ve been waiting for this sequel, and after the way the last book ended—leaving me absolutely feral and in scrambles—I dove in the second I could. And wow… I have so many feelings.
First of all: damn.
The plot, the story, the suspense, the romance, the tension—everything was turned up to eleven. The tension was endless, building and building until the eventual grovel absolutely wrecked me in the best way. And the surprises? I was gagged, stunned, kicking my feet, the whole dramatic reader experience.
Second, the plot just kept thickening. Layers and layers of secrets, betrayals, revelations—every chapter felt like opening another trapdoor. I loved every single minute of the chaos.
The found family element was top tier. I’m a sucker for a strong found family in any romantasy, and this one delivered so hard. The dynamics, the loyalty, the banter—just chef’s kiss.
And lastly, the romance… everything and more. Tender, messy, explosive, inevitable. They were truly endgame, and this book made sure we felt every beat of that journey.
In short: the sequel was worth every second of the wait. I’m obsessed.
