Every single scene was perfectly done: passionate, intentional, and full of chemistry.
— Abigail Books Addiction

I don’t even know where to begin—this author truly is the queen of writing phenomenal Black romance, and this book just proves it all over again. The moment I got my hands on this advance copy, I ran to read it. No hesitation. And from the very first page, I knew this story was going to be everything… and somehow it still exceeded my expectations.

This book completely wrecked me in the best possible way. It broke my heart into pieces and then slowly, beautifully put it back together. The emotional depth was unreal. The bond between the main character and her aunt was so heartwarming and tender—it added such a powerful layer to the story. Their relationship felt real, raw, and full of love.

Watching the main character find love in her own way, on her own terms, was so empowering. And the love interest? EVERYTHING. We absolutely love a supportive, emotionally mature, all-in-from-the-start kind of partner. The way he showed up for her had me swooning nonstop.

And let’s talk about the spice—top tier. Every single scene was perfectly done: passionate, intentional, and full of chemistry. It never felt forced, just natural and electric.

I’m honestly so sad to say goodbye to these characters. They felt so real, like I was living every moment with them. This story was heartfelt, emotional, romantic, and unforgettable. If you love sports romance with depth, heat, and beautifully written black representation, this one is a must-read.
