“more high-fantasy read with lots of world-building, folklore, morally grey characters, and plenty to keep you guessing”
This was such a HIGH-STAKES fantasy read! This book had me going through circles from beginning to end, and I was surprised through and through. The endless world-building kept me completely invested, and the folklore and retelling elements were EVERYTHING. I also really enjoyed the morally grey characters because you never quite know what they’re going to do next, which kept me interested the entire time.
I definitely need more from this author because I’m already ready for whatever comes next! If you’re looking for a more high-fantasy read with lots of world-building, folklore, morally grey characters, and plenty to keep you guessing, definitely give this one a try — just be warned, it leans heavily into high fantasy!
