I’m always a sucker for a good rivals-to-lovers romance, and this one executed the trope well.

I went into this book with pretty low expectations, but it completely surprised me in the best way. I ended up loving it from beginning to end! The emotional depth gave the story so much heart, while the chemistry between the main characters was absolutely incredible. The spicy scenes definitely delivered, but they never overshadowed the emotional connection they built together.

I'm always a sucker for a good rivals-to-lovers romance, and this one executed the trope well. Their rivalry had been brewing for years, making every argument, sarcastic remark, and bit of banter feel authentic. Their back-and-forth had me laughing so many times, and watching that tension slowly turn into something more was so satisfying.

One of my favorite parts was how caring the love interest was. The way he looked after her—especially when she was sick—completely melted my heart. Those quiet, tender moments balanced the tension and made their relationship even more believable.

There is also plenty of messy family drama woven throughout the story, so be prepared for emotional moments beyond the romance. Overall, this was such an unexpectedly enjoyable read with humor, heartfelt moments, amazing chemistry, and a romance that kept me rooting for the characters until the very end.
